Abstract

Keberadaan kos di sekitar tempat fasilitas pendidikan sangat diharapkan dan menguntungkan bagi pendatang di suatu daerah baru. Salah satu fasilitas pendidikan yang biasanya terdapat kos adalah sebuah perguruan tinggi. Banyak faktor yang harus dipertimbangkan mahasiswa dalam pemilihan tempat kos sesuai dengan keinginan sehingga menjadikan pemilihan kos sesuai dengan keinginan menjadi hal yang sulit. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi mahasiswa dalam memilih tempat kos diantaranya harga sewa dari tempat kos itu sendiri untuk per bulan atau per tahun, fasilitas yang tersedia pada kos tersebut, jarak dari rumah kos dan luas kamar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pemilihan kos disekitar Universitas Stikubank Semarang yang berlokasi di daerah kelurahan Mugassari Semarang menggunakan metode Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS) dengan kriteria jenis, biaya, jarak, fasilitas dan luas kamar. Hasil rekomendasi dari pemilihan kos dengan kriteria jenis puteri dengan bobot biaya 40 %, bobot luas kamar 30 %, bobot jarak 20 % dan bobot fasilitas 10 % didapatkan rekomendasi kos yaitu Kos Maridjah. The existence of boarding houses around educational facilities is highly expected and profitable for newcomers to a new area. One of the educational facilities that usually has a boarding house is a college. Many factors must be considered by students in choosing a boarding house according to their wishes so that making the selection of a boarding house according to their wishes becomes a difficult thing. The factors that influence students in choosing a boarding house include the rental price of the boarding house itself per month or per year, the facilities available at the boarding house, the distance from the boarding house and the size of the room. This study aims to select a boarding house around Stikubank University Semarang which is located in the Mugassari sub-district area of Semarang using the Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS) method with the criteria of type, cost, distance, facilities and room size. The results of the recommendations from the selection of boarding houses with the criteria of female type with a cost weight of 40%, room area weight 30%, distance weight 20% and facility weight 10% obtained a boarding recommendation, namely Kos Maridjah.
