The error analysis rubric guide contains indicators of students' writing problems which consist of a sequence of procedures for writing recount text and problems using the simple past tense in writing recount text. From this analysis, it was found that the student’s biggest problem in writing recount text was the problem of using the simple past tense, namely 14 students, and the problem of understanding the procedure for writing recount text, namely 9 students.
