Abstract

This research is an qualitative action research using class action research method.The research's context is the eighth-grade students errors in recount text writing.This error shows that students' recount texts are not accurate, which allows the studyto develop strategies for how to help students become better writers by utilizing digital media as a teaching tool. This study aimed to examine how students' motivation, performance quality, and interest in producing recount texts were affected by digital media storytelling. The goal of recount texts is to describe unique experiences, occasions, or adventures. The introduction of digital tools has enhanced the traditional method of writing recalls by incorporating multimedia components, encouraging student participation, creativity, and deeper knowledge. By compellingly presenting their perceptions, students can use digital storytelling to produce vivid and interesting narratives. Students can add dynamic transitions, animations, and effects that increase the impact of their stories by utilizing technology. These multimedia additions engage the audience, highlight important details, and arouse feelings, leaving a lasting impact. In general, including digital storytelling into recount texts offers a transformative strategy that encourages students to take an active role in their own creation while also cultivating their digital literacy. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Konteks penelitian ini adalah kesalahan siswa kelas VIII dalam menulis teks recount. Kesalahan ini menunjukkan bahwa teks recount siswa tidak akurat, yang memungkinkan penelitian untuk mengembangkan strategi bagaimana membantu siswa menjadi penulis yang lebih baik dengan memanfaatkan media digital sebagai alat pengajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji bagaimana motivasi, kualitas penampilan, dan minat siswa dalam memproduksi teks recount dipengaruhi oleh media digital storytelling. Tujuan dari teks cerita ulang adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengalaman, peristiwa, atau petualangan unik. Pengenalan alat-alat digital telah meningkatkan metode penulisan ingatan tradisional dengan memasukkan komponen multimedia, mendorong partisipasi siswa, kreativitas, dan pengetahuan yang lebih dalam. Dengan menyajikan persepsi mereka secara meyakinkan, siswa dapat menggunakan penceritaan digital untuk menghasilkan narasi yang hidup dan menarik. Siswa dapat menambahkan transisi dinamis, animasi, dan efek yang meningkatkan dampak cerita mereka dengan memanfaatkan teknologi. Penambahan multimedia ini melibatkan penonton, menyoroti detail penting, dan membangkitkan perasaan, meninggalkan dampak yang bertahan lama. Secara umum, memasukkan digital storytelling ke dalam teks recount menawarkan strategi transformatif yang mendorong siswa untuk berperan aktif dalam kreasi mereka sendiri sekaligus memupuk literasi digital mereka.
