Abstract
This research describes the social class and conflicts that occur in Divergent movie. The object of this research is the Divergent movie. Divergent is a 2014 American dystopian science fiction action movie directed by Neil Burger, based on the 2011 novel of the same name by Veronica Roth. This study focuses on social class, types of conflicts and conflicts that occur in this movie and then analysed using Marxism. The purpose of this study is to analyse the film Divergent using Marxism. The method used is descriptive qualitative. In this research, the writer uses data sources from the script and Divergent movie. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in social class and with these differences lead to conflict. The writer finds the types of social class, types of conflicts and conflicts that occur in Divergent.
